Prof. Tang Jianguo, the Executive Director of the Institute, is a Professor of National Second Class, Academician of Engineering Academy of Ukraine, Fellow of Royal Society of Chemistry, the Head of the Authorized Doctoral Program of Materials Science and Engineering, the Head of the First Class Master's Program of Materials Science and Engineering, the Head of the Key Discipline (Materials Science) of Shandong Province "Eleventh Five-Year Plan", the Head of Shandong Province "He is also the head of the key discipline (Materials Science) of the 12th Five-Year Plan of Shandong Province, and the head of the brand specialty of Polymer Materials and Engineering of Shandong Province. He is also the director of National International Joint Research Center of Hybrid Materials Technology, the director of Polymer Hybrid Materials Innovation and Intelligence Base of National Higher Education Institutions (111 Program), the director of National International Science and Technology Cooperation Base, the director of Qingdao University-Colorado State University Joint Research Center of Hybrid Materials Technology, the director of Qingdao Polymer Hybrid Materials Engineering Technology Center, and the director of Qingdao Polymer Hybrid Materials International Science and Technology Cooperation Demonstration Base. Director of Qingdao Polymer Hybrid Materials Engineering Technology Center, Director of Qingdao Polymer Hybrid Materials International Science and Technology Cooperation Demonstration Base. He is also a member of the American Chemical Society and the American Chemical Society.He is a science and technology advisor of Yingde City Government, Guangdong Province. He has published 165 research papers, 89 of which are indexed by SCI and EI. He has received 14 scientific awards, including the First Prize of Natural Science of Provincial Universities. He has hosted and participated in one National 973 Major Basic Research Program Special Project, one National Key Research and Development Program Key Project, five National Natural Science Foundation of China, and more than 20 provincial and municipal projects.

唐建国教授，研究院执行院长，国家二级教授，乌克兰工程院外籍院士，英国皇家化学会会士，材料科学与工程博士学位授权点负责人、材料科学与工程一级学科硕士点负责人，山东省“十一五”重点学科（材料学）负责人、山东省“十二五”特色优势重点学科（材料学）负责人，高分子材料与工程山东省品牌专业负责人。国家杂化材料技术国际联合研究中心主任、国家高等学校学科创新引智基计划（111计划）高分子杂化材料创新引智基地主任、国家国际科技合作基地主任、中国青岛大学-美国科罗拉多州立大学联合共建杂化材料技术研究中心主任，青岛市高分子杂化材料工程技术中心主任，青岛市高分子杂化材料国际科技合作示范基地主任。中国复合材料学会理事、美国化学会会员、美国化工学会会员。广东省英德市政府科技顾问。发表研究论文165篇，SCI和EI收录89篇。获得省高校自然科学一等奖等14项科学奖励。主持和参加国家973重大基础研究计划专项各一项、主持国家国家重点研发计划重点专项一项、主持国家自然科学基金5项，以及省市级课题二十余项。
